The larger ones you used to be able to see the sun the whole time at the pole but it wasn t high enough in the sky to activate the solar panels 100 of the time. Regardless of angle if sunlight exists at all in its view angle the wrecked solar array provides a minimum of 2u s. Unlike the medium solar panel the solar array isn t required to be placed on a platform. I quite often come across a wrecked crashed satellite with a huge solar panel.

Wrecked solar arrays produce 2u s to 4u s of power varying dynamically depending on the angle of sunlight relative to the panel meaning the maximum of 4u s is typically unachievable on the equator of a planet. This creates a phenomenon at the true north and south poles where the sun rotates around you instead of going below the horizon. If you create a large tower over the pole and put solar panels at all sides it creates unlimited power. But if you make a pillar and put solar panels or the new solar array on it vertically on all 4 sides of the pillar you might be able to get 100 at the poles.
